Open letter
For Minister of Social
Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia
Khofifah Indar
Parawansa
Dear Minister of Social Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia,
Mrs.Khofifah Indar Parawansa .
On this occasion, we as high school students in the country,we
will provide an open letter for you , I hope you deign to read it .This open
letter is a school assignment. Although as a school assignment, but for us this
is not a compulsion to do it because, we would have to write seriously and
happily. We wrote based on observations, opinions, and facts.
Dear Mrs. Khofifah
We are here like to criticize about one of the social
problems that exist in this Republic, especially regarding child exploitation
in which this problem may very often be heard and we encounter it myself, but
have yet to be resolved properly.
As Mrs. Khofifah know, the exploitation of children in
Indonesia are social problems in every age all of our presidency is always
there and never lost, it is common in Indonesia is seeing the children used to
be employed and earn money. It is now as common in society, but we think this
is not a common thing, Mom. It is extremely embarrassing.
The utilization of children which occurred because the figure
of the child is based the weak often utilized a number of persons are not
liable to attract empathy road users in the country, and dredge purse pot of
money. In Indonesia, it is very sad how kids once be one commodity to dredge
the coffers with money. This fact actually is not a new thing, a number of
central points of the hustle of big cities can easily we find children of
busking or begging.
Child exploitation is dominated by the children who dropped
out of school, they willingly work or be employed certain elements in order to
get a glimmer of the money for their survival everyday. t is an irony to this
country, their inability to receive additional education even make them work,
which they themselves are not the workforce.
Weak oversight to legal action by officers entailed the
growing proliferation of child exploitation practices to find compassion of
citizens. Although each local government administration has been expressly
prohibits their social welfare issues to the use of children, but in fact the
rules are made not really sharp. Residents who might censure but also dissolve
in compassion when unscrupulous rogue beggars exploit innocent as a baby
nursery.
Although it has often held raids, it is not effective to
reduce the number of child exploitation. Because there are still person who
managed to escape and did her job back after no raid. Things like this are also
unsightly,if in the traffict light the
streets of the capital city there are many street children who're busking or
begging. . Things like that make the city look ugly and seedy if filled with beggars
and buskers.
Not fitting for children of same age as they are hired that
way, ma'am. Times like it is when they play with peers, or the time for them to
follow the basic education level. They should not do the job it's contemptible.
And as for based on the fact that we have read, there are
4.05 million Indonesian children aged 5-17 years were included in the category
of working children. They work caused by trying to meet the economic demands of
the family and therefore can not attend school. Which became a hard line here
is some of them have to deal with the risk of dangerous and unhealthy work environment for their
growth.
The level of social disparities are very high in Indonesia
must be thoroughly thought out by Mr. President with mom and staff of other state officials and
assisted by the community.
The government should make a strict law to persons who
exploit children for personal gain, and the government as soon as possible to
minimize the homeless and beggars can be eliminated if at all.
We should learn from Singapore how they arrange the layout of
the city well, We should learn from
Singapore how they arrange the city well, and eliminate beggars and buskers.
That where if there were busking and begging there must be a letter of intent
from the government. And also prohibited the population give money to beggars
who do not have a letter of intent. Yes, although we are aware is difficult
because our country is wides, while Singapore is only a small country, but we
have to keep learning from the Singapore government.
The solution we provide is the Government should expand or
open a large-scale employment so that no person else has the brains
shortsighted to take advantage of a small child. Then the child should receive
legal protection and good socialization to avoid ending up with the wrong
crowd, target of the parents are also extremely important for the future
development of the child.
Here's a bit from our aspirations, as a future student will
have responsibility for the the prosperity of this country, and if the writing
word that does not deign we apologize. , for the attention we say thank you.
